Review of Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover- camouflage makeup for face and body

Heyy :)

I recently made an order with feelunique (they had up to 50% off beauty products so i couldn't resist). I came across the Estee Lauder camouflage make up and it had £10 off its original price so i got it for only £15.30- bargain!

Although my skin isn't super red and spotty, I thought it would be good to have on hand just in case my skin does flare up, or for nights out when I want a bit more coverage. I bought it in shade 03 (1N3) Creamy Vanilla and the colour match is perfect. It has SPF 15 in it, so is good for anyone wanting a bit of sun protection in the sunnier months.

I applied the tiniest little amount to my finger (smaller than a pea sized amount), and dotted it over my face. I then took my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and buffed the foundation into my skin. I was shocked at how such a tiny amount could spread and cover so well! Although i didn't put enough on to give that full coverage, it is definitely buildable. I think that this worked quite well with my oily skin- although i did still have to touch up after about 4 hours, it wasn't super oily and it didn't slide off my skin- it definitely stayed put! When I next use this foundation, I will experiment with different brushes as I feel that the buffing brush didn't do well in terms of filling in my pores as they still looked quite enlarged, but I'm sure my Sigma F80 brush would solve that! Also I think that the beauty blender would go perfectly with this foundation as it would sheer it out a little, while still providing that full coverage.

I hope you enjoyed my review, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a foundation with the potential to give a super full coverage! It's also travel friendly (unlike a lot of foundations now) as it comes in a plastic tube.

Review of L'oreal Glam Bronze Eau De Soleil

Hey guys :)

I received this in the post today so thought it would be good to do a review on it before I stash it away somewhere and forget!

I ordered as a free sample monthssss ago and I had been eagerly anticipating its arrival- finally it came, and I love it! It came as a full size sample which is a bonus. There is 20ml of product so I'd imagine it will last a pretty long time. Another benefit is that it has SPF18 so great for summer months when you need a bit of sun protection!

When it first poured it out, it's super runny but it's really easy to blend in. It only comes in one shade- which is basically a dark bronzey shade. I have fair skin, and rubbed in all over my face (only a tiny amount) it looked great. Though I imagine for those who have darker skin, a little more would build up extra colour. It's not matte, it has a slight shimmer to it, but it's not overly glittery, it just gives a nice glow to the face.

I first tried it as a contour colour under my cheeks, but I applied too much and it was really difficult to blend in just on the contour of the cheeks. I also found that it clung to my hairline slightly. I applied my foundation on top of this and it looked fab. I think its perfect for those times when you want to darken your foundation or just want to have a golden glow on your face.

Review of MAC Pro Longwear Foundation- NC25

Hello again!

This is my third blog of today- I've recently just finished one of my final assignments so thought I'd indulge in some make-up reviews!

A couple of weeks ago I decided to try a new fake tan recommended to me (Palmers cocoa butter gradual tan), and I realized I didn't actually have a foundation to match my skin tone after fake tanning. Basically it was just another excuse to buy more make up! After having recently experienced the joys of MAC lipsticks and concealer, I thought I ought to try their foundation. I read many reviews/watched youtube videos and decided that the foundation suited best to my skin was the Pro Longwear. I have oily skin with a few blemishes, and this seemed to promised a medium-buildable coverage and would last all day.

The first time I tried it on, I used my Sigma F80 brush. I found that it was quite hard to blend as it set quite matte once on the skin. Nevertheless, i managed to apply it all over my face and I was very impressed! Despite never having been into a MAC store to test out my shade, I managed to get it spot on! NC is the yellow-toned end of the spectrum and NW is for those with pinker undertones. I did find that it clung a little to my eyebrows and hair line, but if applied with more precision, or a different tool (like the beauty blender), this wouldn't be an issue.

I wore this for work when i had a 5 hour shift, and there wasn't an ounce of shine! I did set it with a powder, but I think that even without a powder it wouldn't get oily. Unlike other foundations (like my Estee Lauder Double Wear), it didn't fade in certain areas of my face. I will definitely be getting more use out of this foundation and will review it after longer wear, but I am certainly very impressed!

I hope my review was helpful if you are looking to try a new foundation, and I would definitely recommend this!

My MAC Lipsticks

Heyy :)

So since i bought my first MAC items (lipstick and prolongwear concealer), i've been hooked! The lipstick i bought (faux) is just perfection. I wear it pretty much every day!

The latest addition to my lipstick collection is MAC Brave. After spending hours looking at different swatches of the MAC lipsticks, i decided this was the one. Its pretty much identical to Faux, but is more of a pinkier colour. Again, it is a satin finish. However, i found Brave to be quite glittery. When it is first applied, it looks fine. However after a few hours of wear, i noticed glitter particles on my lips. I don't know whether all of the satin finishes are like this, but i hadn't noticed this with Faux. Nevertheless, i'm still in love with it. Its another every day colour, and i'm sure I will get a lot of wear out of this.

Another MAC lipstick that i purchased a few weeks ago is the ever-spoken about Cremecup. This is a cremesheen lipstick, which i was yet to try. I watched so many bloggers and youtubers sing this lipsticks praises, always featuring in 'top 10 MAC lipsticks'. When i first got it, I thought the colour looked amazing in the tube. Such a pretty pink. However, when I tried it on, I was pretty disappointed. With it being a cremesheen, I thought that it would be super moisterising and glossy. I found it to be quite hard to blend on the lips, and it showed up any dry patches. I would really recommend pu

tting on a matte lip balm before this lipstick (and with the satin finish ones) as it gives the lipstick a good base, and makes it stay on longer which is a bonus! Although i'm not a fan of this lipstick on its own, I think it looks great on top of MAC Brave, just placed in the centre of the lips as it gives the illusion of fuller lips. I'm sure I will warm to this lipstick, possibly in the summer when i get a tan, as i am yet to see a blogger that doesn't like it!

Finally, my first ever MAC love, Faux. This is simply THE best colour lipstick, ever. Its perfect for every occasion- whether it being every day use, for a night out or for a nice romantic feast! Its staying power is second to none- i'd probably say it lasts around four hours. And the best thing about this lipstick is that when it does fade, it fades nicely so as to look like you have a lipliner around your lips, rather than just fading in patches. I can't recommend this lipstick enough, and the shade would suit pretty much every skin tone!

I hope you enjoyed my reflection of my MAC lipstick collection, I can pretty much guarantee that this collection will be increasing within the next few months!

My Skincare Regime

Hey guys :)

I have combination/oily skin tone, and lately i've found these products work reallllly well for my skin type. For yearss I have had spotty, bumpy, oily skin. I tried a number of different medications to get rid of my spots, but nothing really worked. I tried changing my diet but again, it didn't do much. Within the past few months, i decided to splurge on some more 'up market' skin care products as I put my skin issues down to this (despite cleansing every day)... I'm soo glad I did! I've spent hundreds of pounds trying out different facial products, but I think I've finally found my perfect skincare regime!

In the morning, I use Clarins 'Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel'. I only purchased this last week but its a fab cleanser that wakes you up in the morning and makes your skin feel super refreshed.

One or two times a week, instead of using the Clarins cleansing gel, I use Clarins 'One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser'. Previous to this, I use to use an exfoliating cleanser every day as I was under the impression that this would solve my enlarged pores issue, however I then learned that exfoliating is only supposed to be used a couple of times a week. This is a really good exfoliate as it gets right into your pores, but is also gentle as to not aggravate your skin.

After I've cleansed in the morning, I use Clarins 'Daily Energizer Wake-Up Booster'. I applying this using a cotton pad. It definitely does what it says! After application, it makes your face glowing, whilst also keeping it matte- perfection!

After this, I use La Roche-Posay 'Effaclar Duo'. Although this isn't advertised as a moisteriser, i use it for this purpose because it gives my skin the perfect amount of moisture, without being too greasy on my skin.

If I'm I've been wearing make-up during the day, I'll start off by taking a cotton pad and using Loreal's 'Skin Perfection Micellar Water'. I hold it over my eyes for a few seconds, then swipe away, and use any left over water to wipe away my face make-up. This does a great job at getting rid of eye make up, and if you're wearing a heavy coverage foundation, it helps at getting rid of the majority of it before cleansing.

I then use Clarin's 'Cleansing Milk with Genatin'. This is specifically with people for combination/oily skin, however there is an alternative for people with dry skin. I apply a small amount to the palm of my hand, rub it between my hands for a few seconds and then apply it to my face. The smell of this is dreamy. There is something about Clarins products that draws me in just by their smell. Its also amazing at removing every trace of make-up.

I then use Clarins 'Toning Lotion with Iris'. Again, this is for combination/oily skin but there is a dry skin alternative. I'm not a great fan of toners as they tend to leave a residue on my skin, but it definitely helps with removing every trace of my make-up if there is any missed after cleansing!

Again, I follow these steps with my Effaclar Duo. After this, i'll apply Clinique's 'All About Eyes' under my eyes. Although i don't notice a massive difference with this, its good at providing extra moisture under my eyes- being a contact lense wearer this is extra important!
